What should I wear?
Remember that you’ll be walking down aisle after aisle to meet potential wedding merchants while enjoying tastings and signing up for drawings. Dress comfortably and leave the stilettos at home.
What should I bring?
1) Many merchants offer drawings that will require you to write out your personal information over and over again. To save time, print labels that include your full name, phone number, email address and wedding date. (Some brides make an email address that is dedicated solely to the wedding, to keep all of the wedding info separate from their regular email.)
2) Don’t forget to bring your checkbook and debit/credit card. Some vendors offer show discounts if you place your deposit that day.
3) Pen and paper for making notes & jotting down thoughts, your day will be packed with information you won’t want to forget a thing!
4) Also, remember your daily calendar since you may want to schedule follow up meetings or consultations.
Who should I bring?
Consider bringing your fiancé, mom, maid or matron of honor or anyone else who can offer you their opinion about a potential wedding merchant, the more the merrier.
How much time should I allow at the bridal show?
Try to schedule 2-4 hours to spend at the bridal show. There will be a lot of different vendors with the latest in wedding products/services and you’ll want to take your time visiting with each one
Are children allowed?
Although the wedding show is designed for brides to be, children are allowed to attend. However, keep in mind that children can be a distraction. Try to arrange for a babysitter to allow you an uninterrupted and stress-free day.
When are prizes awarded?
Prizes are awarded throughout the day by many of our merchants. However, the Metropolitan Bride awards will be drawn at the end of the day. You do not need to be present to win.
Are photos/video cameras allowed at vendor?
To protect our vendors, photos and videos are not allowed during the bridal show. You will be asked to delete from phones or digital cameras any photos taken. Film may be confiscated.
